UEPLAC finalised its output on regulating economic activity in the EU
UEPLAC experts have finalised their work on a survey EU rules/case law on undertaking the economic activity by the third countries’ citizens in the EU. As the Ukrainian recipients expected, this paper provides an analytical research on the third-countries nationals` legal status intending to undertake economic activity in the EU, particularly touching the following aspects: free movement of persons, main principles of labour market access, conditions for admission of third country nationals to undertake economic activities in EU; barriers and obstacles for working in EU and some related social security issues.
Overall, this survey aims at presenting the legal instruments through which third country nationals may enter and take up economic activity in the EU legally. The conclusions to be drawn from it, would facilitate the Ukrainian administration efforts in building the infrastructure to support the said instruments in order to regularize legal immigration for working purposes and secure employment opportunities as well as employment rights for its citizens when employed in the EU.
The said survey is reproduced here.
