UEPLAC participated in the 2nd sitting of the Co-ordination Council for Training, Re-training and Advanced Training of Specialists in the sphere of the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine |
Dr Jolanta TACZYNSKA, the UEPLAC V Team Leader, and Dr Robert Khorolskyy, the UEPLAC V Legal Expert, took part in the second sitting of the Co-ordination Council for Training, Re-training and Advanced Training of Specialists in the sphere of the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine under the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine on 22 December 2009. The UEPLAC Team Leader is a member of the Co-ordination Council since its establishment in March 2009.
Chaired by Prof. Tymofiy Motrenko, the Head of the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine, the Co-ordination Council focused on the various aspects of implementation of the State Targeted Programme for Training, Re-training and Advanced Training of Specialists in the sphere of the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration for 2008-2011. In particular, the Co-ordination Council members have been informed on the results and challenges stemming from the above Programme’s implementation in 2009. In this regard, the UEPLAC’s assistance was commended and welcomed by the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine.
While presenting the UEPLAC’s view, Dr Jolanta TACZYNSKA expressed the Project’s readiness to support the fulfilment of the measures under the State Targeted Programme’s implementation in 2010. The Project’s Team Leader also stressed that the European integration policy of Ukraine, being a complex process, requires common systemic approaches and mechanisms to be followed. To this end, the civil service training should go hand in hand with the relevant activities within the legal approximation process as well as with the public awareness campaign in the field of European integration. With the view of enhancing effectiveness of the State Targeted Programme’s implementation, Dr Jolanta TACZYNSKA proposed, among others, to take advantage of the UEPLAC IV - developed Management Information System (MIS).
