UEPLAC held a series of meetings with the representatives of business, experts and the State Committee of Ukraine for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy and the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine |
During the period from 10 till 11 December 2007, UEPLAC experts held a series of meetings with businesses operating in the Ukrainian electro-technical market. (Kateh-Electro, Mayak, Rostok, Kyivprylad). These meetings were aimed at investigating the possible consequences of implementation of the norms of the EU Low Voltage Directive into Ukrainian legal framework and other related subjects.
Also UEPLAC experts held working meetings with Mr Kapshuk, Director General of Association Ukroliaprom and Mr Sagal, Chief of Technical Regulation Commission at the Council of National Associations of Producers at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. During the meetings the situation and issues relating to Ukrainian system of technical regulation were discussed.
On 13 December 2007, UEPLAC experts, met with Ms Carton, Resident Twinning Advisor and Mr Vorobey, First Deputy Director of Ukraine Institute for Testing and Certification of Electronic Equipment UkrTEST. During the meeting Mr Vorobey discussed the introduction of the technical regulations of New Approach in Ukraine.
On 13 December 2007, UEPLAC experts visited the State Committee of Ukraine on Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship and held a meeting with Mr Myroshnichenko, Director of Regulatory Policy Department. A fruitful exchange of views on the situation of Regulatory Impact Assessment in Ukraine, specifically regarding RIA in the process of legislative approximation took place.
